- Reflections – writing about something that has happened and how you have changed because of it.
- How-To – what are you an expert at? How-to essays are way better on blogs!! You can include pictures, videos, and other forms of interactive media to make them fun!
- Travel Journal – dedicate a category to travel and write about all of the places you’ve been! Make sure to include pictures!
- Opinion pieces – is there a current event that’s really got you fired up? Your blog is the perfect place to share your opinion with others!

- Top Ten Lists
- Ongoing Series or Category
- Poems you have written… even the sarcastic, sappy, or silly ones!
- Autobiographical – share stories about your life!
